Today started off all frosty and cold, making me fear a little for my carrots and gladioli and tigerflowers. It warmed up a little later on though and during my cycle to work at around 9 I was dying to get to my garden to get my heather plant in the ground! I had to work though unfortunately, so I eventually managed to get back to do it this evening under the clouds and in the bitter cold....I've decided to give this plant a name, I'm not entirely sure why, but I think I'm rooting for her to do well in the little spot I've picked, so, she's called Henrietta. I've put her in quite a sheltered part of the garden in amoung my rockery I established last year. I couldn't dig too deep a hole to place her in, so I raised the bed around her. Hopefully she'll enjoy hanging out with my herbs, visable at the back is some rosemary which started off very small indeed this time last year. And in the pot beside her is some thyme that doesn't seem to be doing too well - is this normal?! Who knows....A blog about my garden, and the growing experiments i will be embarking upon
