Comparisons to a London garden

This week I have been mainly recovering from a weekend of heavy drinking in London, at London Roller Girls' first WFTDA sanctioned bout! It was pretty exciting, and I came away with a lot of merch, albeit merch I can't really afford....I'd better get a bumper crop this year! We stayed at a good friend of mines house in Kentish Town where I was surprised to see the loveliest of gardens. A little bigger than mine, and much more efficiently used, my friends next door neighbour Jack has a great garden.

Brassicas, rosemary, mint, parsley (visable at the back)          Here a strawberry planter and an exciting arch!
This was on my friends side of the garden - spotted right after a discussion about how they'd like a little herb garden - here's some Thyme to start them off!

A long view of my friends half of the garden, but with a little bit that's been 'pinched' by Jack next door (I expect this time next year he'll have convinced them to let him have the whole thing!)
Finally we have this little fella...A plant I recognise but couldn't possibly name as I bought one myself, but lost the little tag that tells you what it is! This specimen of Jacks looks unbelievably beautiful, and when those buds open it'll be even more gorgeous! Let's compare it to mine....

A little on the disappointing side in comparison....If anyone knows what this plant is and has any inkling as to how to care for it...I'd be grateful to hear from ya!
